My stay at Riva Hotel had its ups and downs. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and I appreciated the included breakfast. However, the location was quite far from the center, and I had issues with the room cleanliness and shower facilities.

Rooms
6.0
I faced some problems with the cleanliness of the room and the shower was draining poorly in the first room. I did receive a new room quickly, which was good. However, the showers seemed to need some fixing as there was also a hole in the shower hose in the second room.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally friendly and helpful, especially one girl who had lived in Ukraine. However, there seemed to be some organizational issues, which impacted service at times.
Location
6.5
The hotel was located quite far from the city center and the nearest metro station. Although Uber is cheap and made getting around easier, I did notice an industrial area nearby.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was decent with a variety of options available. It included items like cheese, scrambled eggs, olives, and fresh juices, but nothing extraordinary.
Facilities
5.5
The hotel lacked some basic comforts, like proper noise insulation from neighboring rooms, and it felt more like a hostel than a hotel at times. The absence of a swimming pool was disappointing as well.

My stay at Riva Hotel had its ups and downs. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was decent, but the room left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness and comfort. I faced issues with basic amenities and noise disturbances, which affected my overall experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was not very clean, and it had no windows, making it feel quite claustrophobic. On top of that, the AC was broken and I could hear conversations from the neighboring rooms all night.
Service
6.5
The staff were friendly and always ready to help, especially Mohammad at the reception. However, their organization left much to be desired, as I witnessed some confusion regarding room assignments.
Location
5.5
The location is somewhat okay, but a bit far from the metro. It was close to the center of Baku, yet somewhat isolated and noisy with construction around.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was good overall and had a variety of options like cheese, scrambled eggs, and olives. However, during busy hours, they were slow to replenish the items.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel lacked several basic facilities like a refrigerator and safety box. Also, I was caught off guard by the pool's rules, which included mandatory swim caps that came with an extra charge.

5.0/10

My stay at Riva Hotel had its ups and downs. The staff were friendly and the breakfast offered a decent variety, but the room fell short in terms of comfort and amenities. Unfortunately, the location was not ideal as it was quite far from the central attractions, and there were several inconveniences during my stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room I had faced the main road, which made it noisy and difficult to sleep. Additionally, it lacked basic facilities like a safety box and refrigerator, and I never saw the bed sheets changed during my week-long stay.
Service
6.5
The staff were generally helpful and welcoming, but I did find it odd that the cleaner was quite insistent on receiving tips.
Location
5.0
While the hotel was near a metro station, it was quite far from the central part of the city and the shopping mall, making it less convenient for sightseeing.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was nice with a good selection, including cheese and scrambled eggs. However, when it got busy, the replenishment of items was a bit slow.
Facilities
5.5
The hotel had a swimming pool, but I was charged for a swimming cap unexpectedly. It also lacked some basic entertainment facilities.

6.6/10

My stay at the Riva Hotel had its ups and downs. The hotel offered a free airport pickup, which was a pleasant surprise, but the overall experience was overshadowed by several issues. The location is quite far from the center, and access to the nearest metro station requires a good walk. While breakfast was decent, it was nothing to write home about, with limited options.

Rooms
5.0
The room was a letdown with no windows and persistent noise from neighboring rooms. Cleaning was inconsistent, and I had to request fresh towels and basic amenities like toilet paper.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss. Some staff were friendly and helpful, but there were moments when I felt unsupported, like when the card machine didn't work or when I had to chase after basic supplies.
Location
5.0
The hotel is pretty far from the city center, which made exploring a bit challenging. While there's a nearby bus stop, I found getting to the nearest metro station required more walking than I expected.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was decent, featuring options like eggs and sausages, but it felt repetitive after a few days. When busy, replenishing the food items was slow, which was frustrating.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities left much to be desired. The lack of a swimming pool and other promised amenities made it feel less appealing.

6.6/10

My stay at Riva Hotel was pretty disappointing overall. The location wasn't great, and the breakfast left a lot to be desired. On the upside, I found the place clean, but the service and amenities really need improvement.

Rooms
5.0
My Budget Double Room was cramped and far from the photos online. The bed was uncomfortable, and I found out that the room didn't even have a window. Also, I was disturbed several times when the cleaning staff entered unexpectedly.
Service
5.0
I had several issues with the staff. They didn't respond well when I requested a wake-up call, and they seemed more interested in other tasks when I wanted to address my concerns. While some staff were friendly, the overall service felt rude at times.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location is pretty far from the city center, and it felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Plus, it was tough for taxi drivers to find, which was a major hassle.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was decent but not very exciting. The selection was limited, and replenishing the food when it ran out took too long. I was really hoping for more variety.
Facilities
5.0
The Wi-Fi was painfully slow during the evenings, and the elevator was a huge letdown, often taking ages. There was also a lack of basic amenities that I expected from a hotel.
